Undercurrents, Solo Exhibition
MWB City Tower, London, 30 June - 15 July, 2011
Undercurrents is a new series of paintings, exploring the relationships between lovers, friends and family members.
"Lack of communication between lovers leads to power-play, manipulation and pain. What interests me is the roles people then assume, their intricate psychological reactions to each other and to their troubled relationships. I’ve chosen a cold monochrome tonality to depict silence and the resulting emotional distance between two contrasting, disintegrating figures." - Paola Minekov about 'Echoes of Romance'

Paola Minekov did just this, in a way which is both convincing and original. It is difficult to find an analogue to her work among other artists.”
