Dancers - Painting by Paola Minekov Everywoman, acrylic

Roundism

Art Commentary by Joël Vos

The author is a philosopher and psychologist at the Leiden University in The Netherlands. Winner of the Leo Polak Prize.

In her work, Paola creates a reality which is full of movement and dance, where everything touches everything.

She stretches time and space to its maximum, resulting in complete intimacy and nearness of the subject. Like the cubists, but with a feminine touch. We should call this roundism.

I'm a big fan of her paintings.
